I will be blogging at http://www.livejournal.com from now on. I like their interface better. I wish their comments were set up a little differently; that you didn't have to post anonymously if you didn't have an OpenID or Livejournal account, but what can I do?
I may move again because I'm still searching for a blog tool I can use on my personal domain, but until then, Livejournal is my new blog.
Please enjoy my blogging here: http://mmleikam.livejournal.com. Thank you!

My baby's first birthday...
My baby boy turned a year old today! I got a little stressed out throughout the day, because I have a certain way I want things done, but with so many people there, things weren't going quite the way I wanted. That's okay, though. The day was great. Kaiden got a lot of presents; in fact, he had so many that we ended up giving him a break between opening presents...he just got tired of it. And silly me, I planned his party right around the same time he'd be taking his afternoon nap.Anyway, the presents are fun, but my favorite part of any first birthday is cake time. I made Kaiden a small cake of his own...it was about the size of a large muffin. He picked it up and smashed it into his face. He had cake and frosting EVERYWHERE. It was great, though. I loved it. And he was willing to share, so that was nice.
My little baby boy is getting so grown up. Turning one was apparently a tiring ordeal...because as soon as he was home, he was asleep in his crib.

Such a big boy...
He's been drinking out of a sippy cup for awhile now. We've never been able to get him to drink anything except formula out of a bottle so when we introduce juice to him, it went into a sippy cup. Now he's moving on to whole cow's milk and no longer needs the formula, so we're putting milk in a sippy cup as well. I'm not sure if he likes the milk, though. He takes a drink and then gives the cup a funny look. Then he takes another drink and does the same thing. As you can see from these pictures, he took a drink, threw down the cup and then played with the milk that came out. I guess I need to invest in more sippy cups with the valves on them so the milk doesn't leak out. LOL

Grrr...
Steeler isn't much of a photography subject. Sure, he's a beautiful dog (if I do say so) but he does not like to sit still. It's kind of a bummer really, because I can think of lots of great pictures I could take if he'd just settle down once in awhile.
